The “Wall Angel” exercise is an excellent exercise for reducing upper back tightness and spasms as well as promote correct posture. This exercise will give you instant feedback regarding where your tension resides in the spine, shoulders or arms. This technique aims to mobilize the pec major and pec minor, decrease a forward head position, open up the chest. It also helps reduce rounded shoulders by stretching, the muscles on the front of the body, activate and strengthen the rhomboids, lower and middle traps of the back, and helps reduce tension in the upper traps.
